Hi, every one:D
i bought a NAD 3020a amp about 2 months ago
and i connected it to my laptop via the AUX port
it started to make a humming sound as soon as i put it in,
ive plugged my ipod in and it doesnt make any funny noises i can play songs
off my ipod and come out crystal clear but when i play songs off
my NAD its very un clear with a humming sound over the track?

Any suggestions please let me know how to fix this

Thanks

Welcome to the forum!

Are you saying that you can plug the iPod into the NAD and not get the hum, but you get the hum when you plug the laptop into the NAD? Do you get the hum from the laptop if you don't have the laptop plugged into the wall?

It sounds like it might be a ground loop issue. There's a decent amount of into on that issue on this forum, and there is also a short article on the main Audioholics site at the link here.
