Thin is in. It's in displays, it's in super models and now it's in speakers thanks to Victor JVC. At a stunning 31mm (1.2 inches) thick, these speaker promise to maintain those clean lines with your new uber thin flat panel display. How do they sound? Who cares? Did you see how thin they are?

Would love to read one of your pro reviews.

However, even though I (and others) view in-walls as an inferior speaker, performance-wise, they have an even lower profile than these.

Granted, you can move the JVCs around a lot more easily...

I dunno. When I think speakers, my head just doesn't land on JVC.

if you care about the appearence that much, you shouldn't mind pulling out a saw and flush mounting, or inwall-onwall them. At least then you get 3 to 5 inches of box volume...

considering the level of effort needed to wall mount a heavy plat panel - finding studs, running wire, have an power box installed - the installation of speakers isn't that much more effort.

I can see where these could easily pass the WAF ... as long as she would be OK with a sub sitting around on the floor they should be alright. ;)
