Nice. I expect we will see (hear) some good things come out of that arrangement. All 5 of my main system speakers are of a D'Appolito configuration :)

Seriously, I have no life.
Good for Snell

That should bode well for Snell. I have learned a lot from Joe D'Appolito's publications, especially how to approach a crossover design. I consider him the "king" of crossovers.

It is interesting how similar his Illusion towers are to my reference speakers.

Joe D'Appolito is very keen on TL loading and so am I. He used a TL for the mids, I used a dual TL design. My system uses passive crossover only for the mid HF crossover the others being active. I used larger mids, (7 inch) so I could tune my lines an half an octave apart, for smooth uniform bass support, which was a trick I leaned from the late John Wright of TDL.

Hopefully we may seem some full range TL speakers from Snell in the years to come.
