Integra has introduced the remarkably powerful and flexible DTR-7.8 THX Ultra2 Certified A/V receiver. The 7.1-channel home theater receiver features HDMI v.1.3a compatible switching, onboard decoding for the latest lossless and HD audio formats, and an extensive suite of multizone/multisource and system integration control features. Featuring three HDMI inputs and one output, the DTR-7.8 is fully compatible with HDMI v. 1.3a, including 1080p and Deep Color™ 36-bit video signals. It also features onboard decoding for the Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD and DTS Master Audio lossless audio formats.

whoa, whoa, whoa. Is the faroudja in the 7.8 the only video processor?

I'm curious because while the Integra 7.8 is a slightly better version of the Onkyo TX-SR875, the Onkyo TX-SR875 uses the Reon HQV for video processing/scaling, which on all accounts is a much better processor.

The Onkyo is also rated an extra 10wpc more plus an extra 5A of current.

The Integra is supposed to be the better machine, is it not?

*EDIT* My bad, the Integra DTR-7.8 is the better version of the Onkyo TX-SR805, not 875.
(Damn, just when I was getting nicely wound up!)
