You may need to take a few sick days from school. After all we will be hosting educational classes at our event. :D

That had already crossed my mind actually, but if my parents found out they would kill me. Besides 24 credits and skipping class don't mix well. Hopefully I will be able to make the 10th because by then I will be between med school and undergrad! I'll just have something to look forward too :D.

For those who are planning on attending here's a little info:

If you need to entertain the kids for the weekend, try Busch Gardens:
http://www.buschgardens.com/BGT/

You want to take your spouse out for a nice night on the town, try Ybor City:
http://www.ybor.org/index.cfm?section=vs

One of my FAVORITE dining places in Ybor City, The Columbia (Hmm...Paella :p)
http://www.columbiarestaurant.com

The largest local airport is Tampa International Airport (TPA):
http://www.tampaairport.com/index.asp

The other major airport is Orlando International Airport (MCO) located a couple hours drive away:
http://www.orlandoairports.net/main.htm

The weather should be nice that time of year. Things should be a little cooler by October.
(And if anybody mentions that "H" word...... )

Thanks for posting this.

I will also add that directly across the hotel we are hosting this event at is one of Florida's finest Italian restaurants called Domenic's Capri Italian Restuarant. This is a must visit place if you dig italian food. Very authentic. I was roomates with the owners son back in college and they are from the country.

I also wanted to add that another major airport in the Clearwater area is the
Clearwater/St Petersburg airport.
This airport is nice since they have lower princing on tickets and its actually closer to the Clearwater Beach than the Tampa airport. About a 20 minute diference or so.

Here is the link

Hope this helps those who are concerned more about the travel arrangements. :):D

Its also nice if you guys check out the city of St Petersburg. These links might help:
http://www.stpetepier.com/
http://www.stpete.org/beaches/index.htm
http://goflorida.about.com/od/saintpetersburg/ss/stpete_downtown_2.htm

This relates to a nicer and more romantic downtown. But, it's as romantic and fun as dowtown Tampa. You have to Visit Downtown St. Petersburg. They have wonderful restaurants, beautfiful beaches, ports and night life.
The Columbia House Restaurant is also housed there, as well as many others!
Check this out too

St. Pete's is a fun place to hang out... been there before...

Great food all around, as I love Seafood, and have traveled just to eat seafood... My son and I drove from Milwaukee through Niagra and toured the east coast from Boston up to Maine just so we could get Lobster. It was a great trip and some good bonding time.

I agree with you. Awesome food and views. The greatest is for the 4th of July. Spectacular fire works right at the port.
