My upgrade, like it?

What do you guys think of this upgrade, what i currently have is in my sig.

Jamo E875's
Marantz SR-7500 THX
Marantz DV-6500

For $2400AUD?

Do you guys like it, think its worth it? i will only have to add about 300$ for the upgrade.

Based on specifications only, seems to me a Denon 3805 or Yamah 2500 will get you more for much less. Those E855, with 89 dB sensitivity, probably can do better with more power. If you believe this warm and bright thing, then Marantz may be the one for you because there seem to be no shortage of people claiming Marantz receivers have a warmer sound. To me, when you get to the mid-fi stuff, most of them are closer to neutra as they should be. The 7500 does seem to have a nice signal to noise spec, if the pre-amps in it are of high quality and quiet, then you could add an external amp whenever you feel like having more power.

thats quite odd because my Pioneer VSX-815 powers E855's with ease. (Cant go up to referance level -5db) not even in movies. Also i cant get Denon's etc. cheap here as i cant order them from america and the RRP and normal prices in shops of denons and yamaha's are quite rediculous

The issue is head room, if you normally turn the volume to the -15 to -10 dB range, you won't have much head room left with the 815. Anyway, the Marantz you picked does have much more power than the 815 so you may be fine for H.T. if you have a nice subwoofer.

Power isnt the issue with the upgrade, Ive heard a friend with Jamo E850's with a Marantz SR-5500 and the sound is much more vivid and welcoming. Honestly i do not like Pioneer for there Budget receivers. Features wise there ok. However marantz runs through the family, so why stop it now LOL

Also an upgrade to E875's would be nice to gain 5hz, some extra power and a full 3 way system. I figured why the hell not when its only gonna cost me a around $2-300 to upgrade.

Bottom Line: I cant resist Marantz Sound.
