Room measures 3060 cf, with an opening of 7'2 x 3'6. I want it to feel it in my chest when watching movies, but music is my love. I want clean,clear,crisp,articulate bass. Been doing a lot of reading still need to ask the experts. Budget between 500-100. Thanks.

You may want to consult her first though.
A good sub to meet your need is not small. Hsu VTF3-Mk3, or an SVS sub come to mind up to $1k.

the 20-39 PC+ will be $899 + shipping, and it's got crazy bass, give it a look. I also hear good things about HSU, but have never heard one... those are suppossed to be a little better for music too, and will cost a bit less as well.

I assumed (as i'm sure others did) 500-100 was intended to be 500-1000.

That would seem to mean $500-1000, in which the HO-Turbo would be right there.

The 20-39 Plus is no slouch when it comes to music.

Thanks Guys! It should read $500-$1000. I have been looking at the HSU MK3, and the SVS pb12. They both look great but they also look large. Can I get awesome sound out of a "normal" enclosure?

In that price range you can look at the SVS PB-12 Plus, and if you check their b-stock you can get one for $850.

Im not crapping on the HSU, just shooting out info from what I know...

SVS is a great sub as well as the HSU...

Good luck... either of those choices will be awesome..
