So I have a atmos system running. So I have a Marantz sr6010 receiver and also using a yahama receiver to power 2 speakers. I have klipsch rf600b tower speakers, r25c center speaker, rf400b surround and r14m for rear and bose speakers for the top ceiling. I'm wondering when I ran audyssey it made my tower speakers large. full band...now where I look people say change it to small and 80hz for all speakers.
should I do that. the other speakers center - 150hz surround -100hz back surround 60hz and bose -250hz
what should I do thanks

Your Marantz avr is suggesting the full band setting because they don't want to tell you your speakers are "small" :) but all it means is use a sub or not for bass management; Audyssey apparently reported an f3 of 40hz which is likely within your speakers' range. http://www.audyssey.com/blog/small-vs-large

I'd still use sufficient subwoofage and set a crossover of 80 to start and experiment from there both above ad below 80 hz, say 60-100hz range. What sub(s) are you using?

And what about the other speakers? should I leave it as it or change it to 80hz

So don't change any setting from the audyssey other than large to small
So leave the front at 40hz surround at 100hz back surround at 60hz

The 80hz I suggested is for your L/Rs, it's a preference thing but with your sub you may well do better with a lower xover, you can try 40, 60, 80, 100, etc. Leave the others alone. Your center is set for 150? Got a pic of your speaker placement?

Doesn't look too unusual. How did you position your Audyssey mic? Use all positions? Might just want to try re-running Audyssey....

oh okay...I think its facing upwards ear level. I think I ran for 4 spots. not all the 8 spots

Did you use a mic tripod or boom? Or set it on top of a stack of something in your seating? You should run for all 8 possible positions to give Audyssey as much information as possible. I find a 2-3 ft radius circle from my main listening position works well; placing in actual seats not so much. I use a mic boom for positioning.

I use a tripod, should I use the boom. Now I have a sofa there, not seats. so I usually put the tripod on the sofa to the seat where I sit.

I find a boom easier to do quick positioning than when I used a small tripod, especially for areas around the seat/sofa, but may depend on which tripod you use. YMMV.
