Just starting out here, my gear is lower end compared to many here but suits my current situation nicely. Have an apartment and the room is hardly acoustic heaven, but have set up as good as i can for now.have not included the positioning of the rears but they are around four meters behind listening position inline with the fronts as i cannot place them next to couch as it is too high and being towers they would need large stands to reach ear level making them highly unstable.Have placed myself in the pics to guage the size of my speakers.

Front shot with TV(scuse the messy look)

All i want now is a powerful sub and a better TV.
Feedback welcome.

Those speakers look REALLY nice! What make are they? All you need is a little re-positioning(put the tv on the short wall) and all should be good.

Wow I really like the wharfedales, they have always been a personal favorite of mine. I am in the same boat as you as far as apartments go. You may want to try to center the TV more, but other than that it looks great.

Speakers are Wharfedale Diamond 9.6 fronts and 9.5 rears.Sound very nice for what i paid for them but wanna move the center off the receiver in the future to let in more air flow. What do you mean by the short wall?

Oh, is your room rectangular? If so, always have the display on the short wall.

Example: My room is 16by12. I have my TV on my 12foot wall.

I just looks like your TV and speakers are on a longer wall.

The wall you can see is about 8 meters long, the option to the right is just windows and a double ranch slider about 8+ meters long, the rear wall is identical and to the left is open plan with kitchen and hallway. Not much choice really except i will reposition the TV when i get a new one and lose the stupid table you can see when i get a proper cabintet for it all.

Really good looking speakers. You say you want a Powerful Sub, Look into SVS Subs.
