My Panasonic TH-42PX60U stinks.

What did they change in this TV from last year? It is about 10 lbs. lighter! I got this new 6OU through warranty of my 5OU. I can't get the flesh tones to look as good as the old one. It's not even as colorful and has a grainey look to the picture too. I have a call into the Panisonic rep. See what happens...

Have you thought about getting it ISF calibrated?

My Avia set-up DVD arrived just in time for this rainy weekend. This has helped me bring the picture to a more acceptable, life-like look. Part of the problem is the stations I was viewing on Directv HD. Disney and many other non-HD stations are bad looking no matter what I do. I think it is a programing problem due to some SD channels looking great and some bad. Maybe my beef should be with Directv. What do you think?

Yeah anyway.....Panasonic ROCKS!!! I hate that Directv forces me to have one of their packages just so I can subscribe to the NFL Sunday Ticket....that sucks! It's bad enough i have to drop the hard $$$ for the Ticket and now Im forced to use DTV for my cable as well:(

IMO, Direct TV's picture quality is the worst. My Comcast give a much better PQ the dtv.

How does it look with DVDs? If it is great, then you know where the issues are, incoming TV signals.
