My New Yamaha RX A8A has arrived

My New Yamaha RX A8A has arrived ,spend hours setting up in a small tight bedroom ,its too bad my family wouldn't allow me to hang my speakers ,like height rear speakers, so tried my best to redesign the areas and also look decent , in my room, some speakers I put them on my 5 drawer , behind my chair anyway the Receiver A8A just knock out my previous Denon AVR 4300H out of the park, much more detailed and much more clarity , run great on the Kef Q350 and Q150 and my other Klipsch's as rears and Yes I use an LG 4k 32" Monitor and use the Google Comcast to stream Netflix and a Panasonic 4k Player , in a small bedroom apartment, also this receiver sounded great at low volumes ,too

Yes, I do, Very well.. everywhere in the room, "Minions" , now speakers , I will change my speakers over time , might even get those enable atmos speakers, ... Later on.

Off to a good start. I have the atmos enabled speakers, but no atmos receiver to use them with or I'd be able to help. Once I get a receiver I'll find out.

Mine now supports height and DSX (which both sound good) so I'm good till I have to upgrade.

You need to talk to your family. That speaker placement is useless. Bought a grade A AVR for nought I’m afraid.
Before you think I’m picking on you, you have to realize that proper speaker placement and integration are rule number one. I want you to get the best from your equipment, and we can help you do that. Are you open to moving some speakers to proper locations?

i hear you , i just can't , i wish i can , but my family not allow me to hang speakers and it's in my tight small bedroom , i had to stack speakers together, but it isn't that bad, if one day i have my other room free, i will ask a professional installer to do so .
just as now, i'm stick with this - setup , i know , i know

yes , it's a Onkyo Soundbar , i just use it when i'm not using the Receiver or as a Bluetooth speaker for spotify

So forgive me if I’m talking out of turn. But if it is your bedroom. What does the family have to say about what you do? In my house, my wife and I BOTH pay the mortgage and the bills. That means I get to do 50% of what I want lmao!!!!!
This is part of the living space we share.

Not sharing to brag. Only to inspire you to see what you can do. This system is 7.3.4. My wife hates the monkey coffins(big speakers) but I live here too, and that’s how it is. Upgrading will be expensive, so we don’t go there often lol.
So the point for you. Is even if you have a limited bedroom space, you should do what you want. Especially if it’s your space. If it’s a shared space, there should be a conversation about COMPROMISE.

Nice, but as i said i put this set in my bedroom , and it's my choice, i'm just have to stick with this setup for now, at less i have the equipment here , for some, i will get Floorstand speakers to replace the Main Front L/R and a newer Receiver ,,, I actually ordered the RX A6A , but cz of the world Shortage , the store - sale rep. told me i had to wait til Mid December or later for the A6A, but A8A is sooner, coming this month, so i ended up getting the A8A , instead .. and since ... i got it, i bought more, stuff for the system , like the Kef Q350 , Q150 , Q50A and Sony SS CSE. and yeah i hear you, man.. i know i know, as for now, i have these equipment , i just need to get a newer receiver and a floorstand speakers for my future setup , in the other room , once free, besides the sound here isn't bad, i do have some other speakers sit next to my desktop computer and 2 atmos speakers on the back shelf. Good thing the Atmos speakers work will ... here in this setup , and by using the Ai Surround Sound Mode,, it's pretty Good

Are you saying your family holds sway over how you arrange your bedroom..? Even when I was a kid I was allowed to arrange my bedroom however I wanted.
