I recently sold my trusty & loved RX-V1300 to my sister & upgraded to the RX-A3000, so to go along with that & my recent upgrade to a blu ray drive in my HTPC I decided some mroe changes were in order.
My little Velodyne 79XII has served me well since 97 but cant cope with the newer movies & changing to 2 x CHT12Q in my room is a massive change to say the least. The other new speakers are the Speakercraft Ceilings for rears & presence & they actually sound a lot better than I'd hoped (no other choice for the room as it is & to still look ok) and seem to compliment the standard setup for Mains, Center & surrounds.
The little 4 channel NAD amp is great for the presence & allowed the full 11.2 setup. With the new HD3 3D DSPs overlaid on HD audio it sounds very full & clear.
Queen live in Montreal blew me away

I know plenty of home theater enthusiasts who would drool over a room like that.....nice job man.

How do you like your RX-A3000? I am loving my 2000 & just ordered an XPA-5. Once hooked up im gonna save to ad in-ceiling front presence & 6/7th rears. BTW dont you just love the dual sub outs with individual PEQ?? I do!! Love your setup looks great....nice placement.
