So I got these in 2 days ago and let me say they are AWESOME!!! I love them especially for the cheap price. I currently run on an Insignia 600W 6.1 Receiver. The 2 Polk R50 fronts, My Polk CSR center will be here Tuesday. and my Surrounds are some JBL's.

I have a problem.. i dont know whether its good or bad. My Insignia's volume goes up to 80. It gives off 100w x 6 channels. When I turn up the volume to 55 it is piercing loud. When it turn it up to 65 it is so loud that the sound coming out of the speaker starts getting a little scramble sounding with some fuzz or whatever. I have no intention of ever operating at that high because it is just too loud, but is this normal? Does anyone else ever have this problem? I'm really not complaining or nothing. I don't know if its the speakers or receiver. BTW the speaker can handle up to 150 watts.

It's hard to beat the Polk R series for the money... I used to have some R30s and R15s, I thought they were great too for what I paid for them.

Well, every amplifier, and every speaker in the world has its limits. So it may be that what you are hearing is the speakers nearing the limits of their output capabilities, or the amplifier is running out of juice.

In any event, glad you like your setup. :)

Yea i can't complain ill try and get some pictures up here so you guys can see em if you want.

My Polk CSR center channel comes in 3 days. When I set that up, correct me if I am wrong, but this will take some pressure of the other 2 fronts right? Specifically the dialogue, correct? What all exactly will it do for overall sound (clarity and loudness) and how does it impact my other 2 fronts in the same manner? Thanks

I started off with a 2.1 setup. I thought it sounded great. The voices were clear. My one complaint was that the sound seemed to predominantly come from which ever side of the TV I was sitting. If I was sitting to the left, then that is where most of the sound came from... I believe this was mostly caused by my speakers being placed too close to the TV (no other place for them). When I finally added a center channel, all that changed. The center channel gave a true three dimensional feel to the movie. The voices where centered where they needed to be and I could actually hear the movement from left to right as I should.
I am not sure if the voices will be clearer for you, but I would think they will be. Either way, you will definitely notice a larger sweet spot for watching the movies.

Most speakers when pushed too hard, especially bookshelves, will sound strained. I think this is called dynamic compression. Take the grille off, and take a look at those woofers, when you push the speakers really loud, you can see that the woofer is traveling a great deal of distance to reproduce that high volume. There is only so much distance a woofer can travel.
