My NEW and improved system

I finally got my system installed in my new house. It sounds very good, suprisingly good for the size/cost of the speakers and I haven't even turned it up loud yet. Once I get a new DVD player with HDMI output, I'll probably get the 1016, or another receiver with multiple HDMI inputs and at least 1 HDMI output. I can't wait to watch some war movies!!

Thanks to Snap Productions in Havelock NC. We love it.

PS... Nice setup! My only suggestion is regarding your TV height. I wouldnt put the TV over the fireplace that high on the wall. You'll wind up with a crick in your neck from looking 'up' at the TV.

If you rotated your sectional and screen 90 degrees to the wall on the right & placed the TV lower at a more comfortable viewing height, the experience should be more enjoyable. Plus, if you moved the screen, you would eliminate the distraction of having windows on either side.

The soaps were my wife watching them, I promise. I wasn't even home when she took that picture. I took the rest of them.

The height doesn't bother us at all. If you look at where my wife is sitting, and to the left of her, we have dual recliners, and that's are primary watching location, so we're always kicked back watching tv/movies. So having it mounted lower would be worse than where it's at because we'd have to push our chins into our chests to see the tv. Also, with moving the sectional 90 degrees, the couch/wedge corner would be up against the bar area, and there wouldn't be anywhere for us to walk by. Believe me, we tried everything we could with our huge sectional, and what we did is the best and kind of only option. It works the best for us anyway, we enjoy it. The windows aren't a distraction at all, and there's no light on the screen from them. It wouldn't make a difference anyway with the LCD. Overall, we like everything how it is. If we had a bigger house, we'd have a sitting area around the fireplace, and a separate area for the tv. Or, if I had the choice, I'd have a dedicated theater room with a front projector and everything else you can think of. But I don't have that choice, not yet at least.

Thanks for the compliment. All the wires go from the back of the audio rack through the wall and through the attic in the ceiling and down the wall. I was gonna do it myself, but I decided to pay to have it done. It wasn't too expensive, and it's warrantied as opposed to if I did it myself, and it wouldn't be.
