...and no one is as disappointed as I am that I'm talking about fruit.
Just wanted to share some info on a treat that I think is fantastic. I'm not much of a date eater, or rather I wasn't until a couple of weeks ago. I ordered some Barhi dates from a place in California because they were described as being like caramel candy, and it turns out that they are. Now, I happen to be a big fan of caramel, but I'm old enough that sucking down butter and sugar isn't the best plan. These dates, supposedly the sweetest and softest of all dates, are excellent. If you like sweets, I recommend giving them a try if you get a chance. They are nothing like the packaged dates that most supermarkets carry.
I also ordered some Medjool dates that are more expensive, but I like the Barhi better. Of course, that could be that even though I ordered the highest grade of Medjool, they accidentally sent me the lowest grade. Oh, well, they are still tasty - but not as soft or sweet as the Barhi. I'll try once more to get the top grade and then compare them again.
