My HT system

Okay, finally I have posted a picture of my Home Theater system. There is no dedicated room for A/V gear. So it is parked in the front/living room. It serves me well.

Looks like you've got some really nice gear. Care to elaborate on what makes up the system...? Do you have P-digm surrounds? Thats an intimidating audio rack.

Thanks. Both racks are by Plateau. The Bravia is new in the last month. Not a big screen but it serves me and I'm happy with it. The system has never looked or been so nice.

Gear as follows:

DISH Receiver
Integra CD
Sony DVD
Yamaha CD
Anthem power amp
Yamaha AVR RX-V663
Sony Blu Ray
Sony CD burner
Onkyo Cassette

As to speakers, the mains are Paradigm Studio 100 and the CC is a Paradigm CC370. Add to that an SVS tower, the surrounds are a set of Pioneers that I chose not to upgrade. And of course, the Bravia recently acquired.

Yes it is, an SVS 20-39 PCI. It just fit in the space available.

Once again, nice setup and thanks for listing the gear.... Why the two CD players and DVD player along with the Blu-Ray? Do they serve different functions? Have you thought about a universal player? Wouldnt the Sony Blu-Ray play just about whatever you throw at it?

Oh, and you might as well tell us about the blue and green hats, somebody is bound to ask...

Yes, it is true that the Blu Ray by itself would have been adequate for audio/video needs. By the time I purchased it, the other pieces had already been in place for a period of time. Is it overkill - I'm sure. But as long as the gear is there, and everything continues to work, it will probably stay as is. Although, a degree of simplicity would be nice at some point. As to the caps, if you can make it out, towards the top, just below the Bravia, is a model of the Enterprise to the left with Picard on the right side. The caps are also ST related. And I quote "Beam me up Scotty, there's no intelligent life down here"
