I can't remember all the models and stuff right now but basicly its a 52" Samsung DLP, a Samsung HD dvd player, a Philips reciever, 2 PS2s, Comcast/Motorola HD DVR box. The front speakers are kenwood and the center & surrounds are Philips (came with the reciever). The remote is a Logitec Harmony.

The cable box is hooked directly to the tv via component cables and to the reciever via coaxial. The dvd is hooked into the tv via HDMI-DVI and to the reciever with another coaxial. One of the ps2's is hooked into the tv via components and the audio is toslink into the reciever. The other PS2 is hooked directly into the tv with rca connections. All the audio/video connections are top of the line Monster Cables except the component PS2 is by Psyclone (i think?) and the other PS2 is the factory cable......

The reciever is kind of crap. it was part of a HT in a box deal. It does the job but i want something with HDMI switching so i can use the digital connections on both the DVD and my cable. The only one i've found is a $4k onyko  (sp?)....not really looking to spend that much so i'll probably just wait till after x-mas to see if anything new comes out.

In case your wondering why there are two PS2's. We (my brother and i) play split screen socom online. :D (you might be able to see the cable modem and router on the bottom there)

Seems one has to be a member to view those pics. I'm not up for joining another site.

edit:sorry for the ****ty pics....its pretty dark in my living room no matter what i do so i had to play with the exposure on the cam..........

I didnt see your surrounds. Is that a Harmony remote? (looks like yer lense is dirty). I just ordered the new rechargeable color screen 880. Got it for under $200. I hope I like it.

Anyway ... nice looking rig.

yeah, they were behind me, ill get a pic tonight or something if i remember. they are the same as the center channel.........

lol....that is a harmony (yes, my camera is f-ed :D ).....i wanted the 880 but just couldn't justify the cost so i went with the 659. love it so far. so much better than the sony i had. You need a class just to operate that one...nevermind program it :p the harmony is soooooo easy.

thanks!

If you wanna post pics without having to resize them, you can upload your photos on a photobucket account and then post the url of the image (at Photobucket) between

thanks! still got a freakin tangle of cables behind there that no amount of zip-ties can fix :D

that is indeed a great setup . I also have a harmony remote the best thing ever ! I have question about that : when I set up my 880 remote for that dvr and tried to control the volume on my reciever the dvr box had a volume control on it that had never been used using the remote that came with the box . I had to go back and lower the value of the volume button to 0 . Have you had this happen to you ? Im too embrassed to put my system on here until I get a new tv . I evny you !!!!!!! ;)

Nice looking setup. I really like the tv. What model is it and what do you think of it. Does it have HDMI. The reason I ask is that I am considering investing into a similar tv for a computer monitor and was wondering what you think of the picture and build quality.

I agree with everyone else...looks great!
have you thought about getting some stands for those front speakers though? Just to get them high enough so they're inline with the tv
