My Home theater SYSTEM UPDATED

Well it is not really a phat system but it gets the job done and keeps the neighbors awake. ;)

32" Panasonic HDTV.
Yamaha RX-V 2500.
4 Cambridge Newton series m80's.
1 Cambridge Newton series mc400 center channel.
2 infinity bookshelf speakers rear surrounds.
SVS PB12-plus/2 AWSOME SUBWOOFER!!!!!!!!!
Pioneer pure cinema DVD player.
Sony VHS.

Future upgrade list.

Dedicated theater room. :D
42" LCD windscreen.
Yamaha 2500 DVD player most likely the first upgrade.
Well the SVS ended up being the first equipment upgrade.

Any comments are welcome.

(Finally got photos uploaded not the greatest quality but I guess they will do)

Looks like you'll be able to upgrade your mains for awhile before you need a bigger sub. That thing is HUUUUUGE. Have you played 16Hz test tones for fun yet? :D

Panasonic

Nice system. How do you like the Panasonic HDTV? How does the picture look with standard def material (if you have tried it)?

I have not got to the 16 hz setting yet but when I do I'll post some comments.
The Panasonic works very good with a good quality input source (DVD player). Works ok with basic cable, it seems to really boost the reds in the picture. You can make adjustment to each input individually to help balance things out. Luckily I use it primarily for movies.

the sub is a monster! the old one looks like mine, what model? The svs dwarfs it, looks like you could stuff it inside the svs.
the black furniture looks sharp with plenty o room for future additions. :)

Can we have a pic of the sub with the grill off? :D

Wish I could but my homeowners insurance doesn’t cover self-induced medical expenses and I will throw my back out trying to get the pics. After all the sub only weights 140 pounds.

That is a very nice system Superman. Are you happy with the Newtons? I gotta admit, they look like some nice bookshelfs. And that sub, my god, that sub is friggin huge!

Yes it's down firing.

I do like the newtons, I am quite please with the performance especially at there price point. Some day I will upgrade to some nice towers but not sure what brand I will go with.
I would suggest the Newton’s to anyone putting together a system on a budget I think they will be quite surprised! :D

Very clean set-up. :) And the seating was a real nice upgrade. Wish I had room for those seats. HT room is to narrow for 3 of those.

AND WOW, WHAT A SUB!!!!!!!! Now that I envy!!!!

Small suggestion, would it be possible to get the rear surrounds up onto the ceiling?

Thanks for the kind responses, I actually custom built the speaker stand they are each filled with 50 pounds of lead shot, makes them very solid. I like the suggestion regarding the surrounds, never gave it much thought but mounting them up in the corners make sense, these seats are kind of close to them.

Thank you. :D

Love the seats, and thats a pretty sweet ride. What is that a Hasbro or a Mattel? ;) . Seriously though you've got a kick butt setup and the seating is the CHerry.
