Been surfing the web and came across this forum and this thread, thought you my like to see my little effort. I converted the back 2/3rds of my double garage and this was the result, all the work was done by myself, so let me know what you think.

Nice, for a DIY thats pretty sweet man. Good work. I take it the pics weren't all taken at the same time, in one you have a xbox and the other a 360 :). Otherwise sweet job man, looks good

Thanks guys
The pictures were taken about 3 months apart as you said the Xbox 360 is new and also the red rug.

Yes, nice setup and arrangement in a not-so-easy room. It looks like it works well. Just out of curiousity, how do you like the rears up that high?

Thanks Johnd
Basically I don't, But I had them spare after I bought the 804's so I thought Id put them to good use. I would like to get some B&W in wall speakers and fit them either side of the door.

Very well done!! That looks very nice, and great looking components too!!

Have you done anything to treat your room acoustics?

LJ39,

congrats for both, your system & your skills!
Very nice indeed. By the way, regarding to your SB speakers, I do have quite a similiar setting as yours and what I've done was to mount the speakers on a "made by myself iron brackets", both facing 30 degrees down and tell you what, it sounds pretty amazing. I did the same on the L/R surrounds as well (see the attached shots). Considering the "pedigree" of your speakers, you don't need to buy another pair osf speakers, just because of that issue.

In the meantime, enjoy your new HT!!

Cheers / Avliner.

AVliner thanks very much.
That looks interesting I'll give that a go and see how it sounds.

No disrespect I really like your HT, but the rear of you room reminds of the scene in amityville horror when the blood comes pooring in the room. Was that the look you were going for? If so, you nailed it.:)

I like the clean look of your setup. No visible wires and the components are out of direct view. Sweet!!!!

The floors and equipment are also very nice! I like wood!

Great Job!

Thanks westcott
I did what I could with the money and space that I had, it's not my ideal room but it sure beats not having one at all

Awesome looking HT room. You've done a great job.

I wonder if you've tried switching your side, and back surrounds around how it would sound.

Great setup,

One suggestion, I found when I added black fabric above the screen on the ceiling(about a 3 foot area from the screen into the room) it helped by stopping reflections from the screen to the ceiling that distracted from the screen and increased light being reflected back onto the screen that effect the image. Not sure if I explained that right so I modified one of your pics to illustrate

cheers:)
