My first Monoprice order

Trying to clean up my rats nest of wiring and I started by ordering some new cables from Monoprice. I need to still order some XLR to RCA cables and one of those ART boxes for my stereo setup but this will be enough for my HT system. I had to solder some speaker wire together last night because I ran out and needed a longer run for one of my subs.

Bought time.;)

Their optical cables have bad ends sometimes, but they can be used to tie up robbers beat unruly children. Hang pictures on walls and of course deliver the signal.

You said it and at $90 shipped, I wish I knew about them a long time ago.

I love me some monoprice... how could you have not known about them all this time? Firefold.com is also a great place to get cables and connectors and what not from.

I ordered some XLR to 1/4" cables and and a mic cable from them last week. I received them on Monday and all I can say is that I will be ordering all of my "pro" cables from them. The build quality is amazing. The connectors are SOLID. The cable is very flexible and durable. The solder joints are well done. The 3ft XLR to 1/4" cost me around $5 each as opposed to almost $20 each locally. The 15ft mic cable cost $11. I have always used Monoprice for home stuff but now they are also the place to go for proffesional cables.

Got my order today.:D

You could pick just one of those cables, put a label on it with the word "Monster" written in kiddie writing, claim that you are selling it at half off for only $90, and get all the others for free. :p

I know. I know. :) Must...fight...temptation...
If they sold Monoprice cables at Amazon, I don't think you'd win that fight anymore. :D

Matt, have you hooked up any of the interconnects, yet? If so, what do you think of them?

I just ordered a DVD-Audio disc today, after which I remembered that I need to connect the 5.1 analog outputs from my DVD player to my receiver. So, I'm thinking that I'll put in my first order to Monoprice. I wanted to ask what you thought of them, though. There were two or three lackluster/negative reviews of those cables, and I'd appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks.

I use monoprice analog cables from my receiver to blu-ray player. Monprice's service was excellent and recieved my shipment very quickly. I bought 4 pairs of the 3 ft analog cables @ 1.?? each. The cables are nice but the connectors are cheap but for the price I can't complain. I found if I did not insert them at the same time (instead of individually) the connection was loose. Once they were both inserted the connection seems fine and have had no problem with them. For the price I would buy them again however the blue jeans cable canare connectors are superior IMO.

I have a slew of monoprice cables and they are great. Their customer service is great and I get my stuff in a few days within ordering. Highly recommended.

I just checked out BJC for the first time in a while. It would be over $100 to get three feet of cable for a 5.1 connection. I don't understand that at all. I think that I'll take my chances with the $6 that the Monoprice cables will cost.

Agree! I use Blue Jeans Cable interconnects and they use the same connectors as those and they fit much better than the monoprice on my equipment but not worth the drastic price difference. The monoprice cables are well worth it for sure. The reason you noted is why I chose monoprice for my analog cables.
