Sometimes hdmi can be fussy about sequence....display then avr then source sometimes is better for example....

Well I do that. It wont work that way. I just went straight to the BD player to see if it was getting video. But no sound that way so I cant leave it that way.

What do you mean power on sequence? Leemix: what did you want me to do with the video on the receiver 4k signal format? Can you walk me through it?
Check setup-video-4k signal format

*on the Denon

I can't check my Denon to make sure (not home), but I believe if you go into the setup menu on the Denon you will see setup, from there choose video, then select 4k signal format and see what the setting is.

I just checked with both HDMI cables and when i go straight to the BD player from the PJ it says 4k/30p... Why wouldnt it say 60p?

Have you checked the specifications of the projector to see what video modes it can handle?

Try with a real 4k UHD blu-ray disc and see.

I have the denon 4300h and never had trouble with it. I am using a epson 5040ub and don’t x800. I also have an Apple TV 4K. All of these work great. Make sure you are connecting the zone 1 primary video output to the projector. Zone 2 does not support 4K.

X800 make sure you are connecting hdmi 1 to the denon.

Make sure you connect to a 4K capable hdmi only in the projector.

Didnt work on or off. Gotta be the projectors HDCP 2.2 HDMI is messed up!

I don’t use a Denon anymore for my HT Room, So it might be HDMI pass through. But I recall there was a VIDEO SETUP section that deals with resolution CONVERSION.

I know on my Yamaha there are setups for an AUDIO section and VIDEO section.

Might also be HDMI compatibility/handshake issue with the Denon.

Is it feasible to “borrow” the cheapest Yamaha 4K AVR to test with your PJ?
