Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum, and I've recently been very interested in audio. I've been looking for a good auiophile forum, and hopefully this will be the one :)

Anyways, here's my current setup that I have in my room.

My brand new Pioneer VSX - 815

A widescreen view of the front of my room. The two, three-ways are 125w each, they are JVC SP-95's, my freind gave them to me, but the mids need replacing.

Here's a widescreen shot of the back of my room. You'll see my nifty little futon, and my two rear speakers, they are 165w each. I also built my own elcosures for them.

And there's my Sony MDR- V6's, best headphones I've ever had.

Whadda think for a beginner?

It's a great start for a beginner.

But, no excuse for not cleaning up before taking some pictures unless the vacuum cleaner is hooked up to your sub to somehow reduce chuffing.

You know, those goofy little stickers that say "For Digital" come right off. They're just marketing crap for use in store displays. I'm rocking the 7506s as I type, jamming on some old Steely Dan. Paired with a good soundcard they're unbeatable.

Your room seems a bit bare. You should've seen my dorm room last year :D

Cool surrounds!

How did you make those? And where did you salvage the drivers from?

You're right, it does look different now. Good job on the speakers you built the enclosures for! I like Pioneer too. I've been diggin' my VSX1015TX, it has a good power supply, but now I'm wanting the HDMI capabilities that are out now.

Cheers

Actually, I meant that it's different than anything posted to this date.

I'll take pics today.

I found it very necessary to bump this topic when I came across it on google... I have a very similar setup to you, man :p Pioneer VSX-4400 (old), a pair of JVC SP-95s, and a black futon that looks about the same as that one. Just found it very necessary to mention that.
