My constant work in progress..

Here is my HT..this has been about a year and a half long process that never seems to end. Im always doing something or other to it to improve in ways.

Here is a list of equipment being used..

The room dimensions are approx 12'x28'

Sony ES STR DA-5000ES
Sony ES DVP-CX777ES
Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300HD DVR
Sony VPL-HS20
Pronto TSU-3000 w/RFX6000 PRONTO RF EXTENDER
Art 351 31 Band 1/3 octave EQ (x2)
Behringer DSP-1124P Parametric EQ
Slim Device Wireless SqueezeBox
Polk Audio RTi10 (Fronts)
Polk Audio CSi5 (Center)
Polk Audio FXi3 (Rears)
SVS 20-39PCi (Sub)

Little background on the room..it first started as a cement floor with just panneling on the walls. After gutting the entire basement the work began.

A stage was built that "floats" from the cement floor so it does not come in contact with it per se. The stage also does not touch any of the surrounding walls. It has 9 seperate pockets in it with a combined total of 550 pounds of sand inside. There are banana plates installed on the stage where the front speaker wires run through it.

The ceiling is acoustically treated and 3/4" sheetrock with insulation was used to cut down on sound on the walls.

In one of the pictures you can see a 106" pulldown I used to have until I built my own. The one I built is 109 1/2" and is built out of Birch. I have a picture of the frame but im not able to upload more than 5 images.

the middle bookshelf was also made by hand out of Birch as well. The stand under the center channel has 8 braces inside and is filled with 50 pounds of sand and there is a piece of color matched carpet under it to cut down on echo and early reflections.

The in-wall rack is a project I have been working on and is almost completed. All that is left is some lighting in the rack and trim and clean up.

The "sweet spot" is 18' away from the screen. Additional furniture was used to create WAF factor Bass Traps. Eventually the front bookshelves will be moved to the back of the room to be replaced with custom built "cupboards" These cupboards will be attached to the middle shelf for a seamless front stage and built to hang over top of the towers. This way the towers can be moved underneath them and back a bit further to flush the front end. I will be also to mount wall treatments behind the front towers under the cupboards to help with sound as well.

Well thats enough of my overload of info. Let me know what you think.

I have definately poured a lot of the above into it. It does look and sound fantastic imo. I still have some acoustic treatment work to do to help with a few peaks here and there. I got hold of a Behringer Room microphone and a nifty free application to measure room response to see what issues I have and then work on a way to fix them. If anyone is interested I can post the link for the room software and if you have a ratshack meter you can do the same I am doing without buying a room mic.

Very Nice! How about posting a link to that software.

If you own a BFD here is the link for that..

Here is the Room EQ software. This software can be used with a Ratshack meter or a room mic. I personally bought this mic. If you own the BFD you can direct connect it to your pc via midi and upload your settings from the Room EQ software..this saves a lot of time.

Ya the BFD really helped level out my bass response in the room. I had to re-measure my response since i moved the sub behind my listening position about a week ago. It sound much better now that i have moved it and re-did all the filters i needed.
