My Comcast has the hick-ups

Has anyone experienced sound drops from Comcast? I don't have the issue with any other source (DVD or CD). I was wondering if it was my equipment, but I don't think so. It seems to only happen on digital channels and usually not durring prime time or at least not a frequent. I'm using an entry level Pioneer (516) receciver with Athena Audition series 5.1 (F1,B1,Center first generations with an older 200w Sony sub) so I don't think its any kind of overload. I am using the digital coax in from the Comcast box. I only get the runaround from Comcast but what else is new.

It happens from time to time. I occasionally have those issues with Time Warner although they are infrequent.

The stuttering of the picture or small audio dropouts are caused by a too low data rate. Their servers are having a hard time streaming all the data at the rate required for smooth playback.

Is it the low rates, or their satellite feeds from time to time is acting up?
