My audio files are a mess

I'm looking for software to help organize my music files. I've got files scattered over different computers and external drives, with lots of duplicates involved. Has anyone used software that helps you organize it into one media library?

Are all the drives networked? If so I use media monkey with good success.

You have your work cut out for you but there are tools that claim to help.

I store all of my music on a central server and then you GoodSync to synchronize with backup device. It also works great for syncing with other networked devices.

ManiacTools makes a number of niche products that may help. The only MT product that I use is their tag editor MP3 Tag Pro (crude but effective) but they have a couple of products that may help including one that scours your computer looking for duplicate media files. I haven't tried it but it may help. They also have an organizer but again I haven't tried it. I organize manually and then sync the result.

Thanks, bandphan & sholling.

Media Monkey came up when I googled this, but I wanted to check the collective wisdom prior to installing software. ManiacTools sounds like it might help out.

I've got a NAS with Raid 1, so I'm going to try to get everything sorted out & keep a master copy there.
