Hi, I'm new here, just signed up to ask about some old equipment I inherited, because I can't find anything online.

Does anyone know anything about these? In particular what they're worth? I don't have any date information or anything like that. Also can someone tell me if I can use these with a record player? I don't see a phono input anywhere.

Here are some photos

I've currently got it set up so that the outputs on the power amp are going to this little mixer I have, and my turntable plugs into that. It's a bad setup and I'm looking to change it.

thanks for any help

Does the Musical Fidelity preamp have a phono input? Those should be very nice pieces of equipment. What do you intend to use them for?

Naw ... it isn't good stuff. You might just want to send it to me instead. ;)

Seriously, Musical Fidelty gear is praised and held in good regards. From your pictures, it appears the gear might be a few generations behind - in regards to the costmetics of how the new gear appears today. If your ears love it, that's all that matters. Unfortunately, I don't think my name is on the list anywhere to inherit any audio gear - I consider you quite lucky.

You'll need an outboard phono preamp to use with that preamplifier, as it doesn't have a phono input. You can then plug the phono preamp into any of the line inputs, such as the AUX input.

Those look like nicely-made, simple, sturdy pieces.

Thanks everybody. Is there a particular phono preamp you recommend B3Nut? Probably a bad question, but might as well ask. Say in the $200-400AUD price range.

Seth, I'd like to use it for my records/turntable, but if the preamp has no phono section (and I don't think it does), that makes it kind of useless for that particular objective. I could still use the power amp though.

The gear you have, is far far besting the turn table sitting there. I can't even recommend using that turntable. It has a non adjustable, very high mass tracking arm, and a very low grade stylus: it will cause substantial damage to the records with even one play.
