With the help of some of the forum members here, I decided on a McIntosh C45 or C46 paired with a MC7270 for my new system; however, over the past year I've been having great difficulty finding said McIntosh gear at anywhere near Blue Book prices. I recently stumbled across the Musical Fidelity M6 500i and the reviews seem stellar - by all accounts, it's a beast, but a refined one at that. Does anyone have any experience with the Musical Fidelity M6 500i and how it would compare to McIntosh gear? A nice used M6 500i would certainly be cheaper based on the pre-owned McIntosh prices I've been seeing for the past year or so - I could likely save around 1K, which I could put towards speakers.
