Music Videos and the use of a DVR

The other day I had my son-in-law visiting and we had a few minutes to spend to playback some DVR recordings.

Knowing his favorite signer is Gino Vinelli, I selected a recording I made a few weeks ago. I said "If you don't mind, let me play the first part of the recording which I think you will enjoy". That piece featured Renee Oldstead signing "Someone to Watch Over Me". He said, how did you know that she would be on and sign that? I said I didn't know. With a DVR, you can watch something and in the course of time (up to one hour) decide you want to record and by pressing the record button you get the entire time slot from the beginning.

A DVR buffers everything while you are tuned to a channel. From time to time I get one of these music Videos up and when I see something nice to record, I press the record button. If I don't want what was played before, I toggle the channel with the next one for one second, this erases the data in the buffer and then record only the piece I want to keep.
