j_garcia Audioholic Jedi Jun 26, 2018 #2 We have a few threads like this already, but I can't seem to find the best one. There's a long thread about great sounding albums and pretty much everything in there would be good for auditioning. *edit, found it: https://forums.audioholics.com/forums/threads/high-quality-sound-albums.78328/ I would say: something you are intimately familiar with and something you really enjoy. The album I tend to use most often would be Patricia Barber - Cafe Blue (Mobile Fidelity). Track 11 "Nardis" in particular because it features a good range of everything that I'm listening for.
