Have a friend with a pre wired house with 10 rooms two channels per room speakers already installed and cables run to a central closet.
He wants multizone for cheap.
Was thinking about recomending two Dayton MA1240 and a pc with multiple sound cards running jriver.

Failing that a Behringer a500 with an aton speaker selector.

Are these a good way to go considering the budget.
Anyone used the dayton amp before?
Advice would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks

I have not used that specific amp, but I know Parts-Express stands behind what they sell under their "Dayton" brand. It would be a better solution than a typical multi-channel impedance protecting distribution strip and a single stereo amplifier.

Is Jriver a good way to go here?

All in I'm thinking this can be done for $1600 with a new pc and two amps, not too terible for 10 zones.
