Here goes...
I've had the Denon 3805 Receiver for a couple of years now but until now I haven't had the need to play two different sources at once. I want to play a slideshow of jpegs on my dvd for some guest and also have the radio playing. So the dvd will not be outputting any sound. I don't have to have the radio up very loud so I don't think I need another amp..or do I? Right now I have 5.1 surround sound hookup and that's it. I don't have anything hooked up to my Zone 2. Can I jump my speaker wire from my three front speakers to Zone 2. How do I hookup the Denon 3805 for two zones? I don't care about surround sound being on ZONE 2! I just want to have the dvd on and tuner playing the radio through the front speakers. After I have the speaker wires hooked up what do I hit on the receiver to make this happen?

Any help would be appreciated!!
Thanks

If I'm reading your question correctly, you don't need to use Zone2. Zone2 is for adding an extra set of speakers in another location altogether, such as in another room.

It sounds to me like all you want to do is, as you state, "play two different sources at once". You simply would like to show a DVD which has no soundtrack, while you play the radio. Correct?

With your receiver, you can definitely monitor one video source (in your case, DVD player) and a different audio source (in your case, radio).

Use the "Video Select" button and function knob on the front of the receiver.

From the lower left corner of pg. 67 in the 3805's owners manual:

Your remote may or may not allow you to perform this function, but it could possibly be able to be programmed to do so; I'm not certain about your particular remote.
