Multi speaker switch or selector.

Hi,
I am in the process of building my basement. I am planning to setup speakers in 2 of those rooms. One of the rooms is like a long hall and I will be fixing 6 speakers on the wall and 4 in another room. I will use a surround receiver to drive them. This setup is purely for music. I wanted to know was if anyone knows some kind of switch or selector that will help me to switch between these 2 rooms' speakers.

So basically it is one amplier source and 2 sets of speakers. If anyone has any idea to drive these I will appreciate your ideas.
Regards,
Raj

Raj, be careful how you wire the 6 speakers or you will end up with a 2 ohm load which could fry your amp.

Likewise, the 4 speakers will end up as a 4 ohm load which won't be amp friendly.

You can find speaker selectors at www.sonance.com and they are on eBay regularly.

Thanks BMX for the warning. Actually I was aware of that fact and that's the reason it's been killing me come up with a safe and reasonable setup.
