I hope some of you guys have herd of this brand and can help me, the support for this company is closed right now as i have tried to call them.

The MTS 5200 receiver is a $1500 receiver, im not saying that to brag im saying that because for that amount of money turning on is the least it could do.

I hooked it all up 100% correct and went to fir it up and nothing, i checked the fuse, the power outlet is working fine, my entire entertainment center works except for this receiver.

There is suppose to be a standby light, that light wont even come on, its like there is no power to it at all. i cant figure it out and im mad as i lost alot of money here.

I cant take it back to the store i bought it off ebay it was bran new in the box never opened, when i opened it today i could tell it was never opened.

Thanks in advance i hope im not just out of luck here.....

I have never heard of MTS branded a/v gear, if you bought it on Ebay, good luck. You checked the fuse and outlet, did you hit the power button? (You'd be surprised:rolleyes:) E-mail and keep calling the company. To be frank (and I might be wrong) it sounds like "white van" stuff.

I did find this:

Looks like expensive White Van crap to me. In fact this thread smells like White Van crap to me!!
thats the companies website lol, if someone is selling it white va style i dont think the company is involved.

Like i said i opened it bran new, it was advertised bran new too and even had the warrenty info inside, so i called the support and they said to send it in and they will send me another.

Is it the MTS DR-5200 that they list at $1,495.00 at their site. Wow. Seth and strat already alluded to this, but I'll be more blunt (at the risk of appearing trite): you would do well to come to this forum before making your purchases. Maybe they'll give you a full refund and you can come back for some advice on a quality receiver for less than half that price.

Just for the record stevedmma: "white van" is not limited to the distribution of electronics by way of a literal white van. In the larger sense it means questionable products with no qc, no r&d, no (or little) support. Cheers.

That site looks very suspect indeed.
It's more than suspect, it's a very clear rip off. There is no question in my mind. If you had $1,500 to burn, you should have gotten a Yamaha, Denon, Onkyo, Pioneer Elite, Integra, Sherwood Newcastle, Rotel, NAD, heck, even Kenwood's cheapest receiver would smother that MTS thing.

The site is slick, if you read their product description it's mind blowing. These guys make Bose look good.

Yes, it's good to know that the DVD player meets the Food and Drug Administration's strict guidelines for DVD players.:D
