No, I'm not talking SACD, Blu-Ray or even CD. However, the sound was better than the usual cassette quality stuff I usually hear with mp3's.

I listened to some mp3 song's from Deborah Cox's The Promise via Emusic (LG BH200->HK AVR-247->Infinity Primus 362's). I could feel the pressure building in my ears as the volume actually increased during "Love Is Not Made In Words" and "The Promise".

No, the music wasn't detailed, as this was a mp3. I will get the CD (or better) later to find out if I'm just making stuff up. Anyhoo, it was nice not listening to something (especially modern R&B) not over-engineered for once.

Why not just get Audacity and see for yourself? MP3s sound fine as long as they have high bit rate.
