Moving Into Apartment Need Help :(

I will be moving on the 15th i asked the owner if i could listening to my music and movies with no problem he said sure but the insulation isnt that good in the building.I dont wanna get kicked out LOL. and it sucks cuz i just got an svs sub. i read somewhere u put something underneath the sub to help it. Any suggestions for sound deadening in an apartment. ??? pls help

The only way to deaden a subwoofer is to lessen it's output. Rather than putting the sub in it's optimal location - a corner, place it along a wall. That will cut up to 18% of the subs efficiency, and make your neighbors happy. The issue is, you could have bought a 10" JBL instead. :rolleyes: Invite your neighbor(s) over for pizza and beer, and give them the "bug" of home theater. They won't mind as much after the enlightening.

Thanks RLA imma get reading, and also yea eventually im gonna have to invite all of them LOL im gonna have to buy new DVD's!!
