Movie Time Projector hook up to note book

Hi we hve the Movie time projector, Just love its been brused and bumped and Just is a bunch of Fun. We have had it for two years, My question is this.
I have a lap top computer and would like to hook it up to the projector, Does any one know how? Thanks

Hi Janer, welcome to the forum. Is your projector the Optoma disc-loading projector? If so it should come equipped with a standard VGA port for ease of hooking it up to a PC. Any standard VGA cable will do.

Hook it between the external VGA out (on your laptop) and the VGA port on the projector. You will have to toggle your laptop's display options to allow for either dual-screen or extended desktop, depending on your preferences, but this should work to get you an image through.

Also, the Optoma's native resolution is a bit on the low side, so make sure you adjust the output resolution from your laptop to match accordingly (for the 2nd monitor configuration).
