Movie Library software

I am looking for a program to organize and display cover art for my htpc movie collection. I would like to have it organize the movies and add things such as genre, actors, synopsis, cover art etc from somewhere like IMDB. I play my movies through Media player classic so the program doesn't have to play the movies.

I have tried a few like Media Portal, MeediOS, Media Center. They all seem to do too much or they don't load the movie details.

Does anyone have any simple suggestions for software I could try out.

Thanks very much,

Try Boxee (simpler) or XBMC (a bit more advanced)

Thanks for the reply guys. I am trying out XBMC and my movies right now. Am having a couple of small hiccups with XBMC going "not responding" on me. I like the interface though. Thanks very much.

I currently use Media Center with My Movies from my Windows Home Server but have been playing with Boxee and like its simplicity. Pretty much just point to your movie folder or folders and it pulls and loads all DVD covers and movie information from IMDB. Even has "applications" to stream Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, and a bunch of other streaming online content.

Interesting thing about Media Centers is there is no single one to rule them all.

I use MCE/My Movies because I also use Netflix and want to add an OCUR card when they become more readily available.

Now if HULU will just get their collective heads out of azzes that would be a nice bonus with integration into MCE.

+1 for Boxee or XBMC. Both are extremely easy to use and don't rely on having to "add on" to the existing core package to be fully functional.

I don't exactly recall how I did it, but I have Hulu on my Windows 7 MC menu. It isn't quite full integration but it works ok.
