Motorola DCT 6200 or Cable problem

HI..maybe someone will be able to help me with this if you've had a similar issue.

I'm having digital break up and audio dropout issues and for a few months now and the cable company can't figure out why. They continually check signal strength, change fittings, replace new wire..etc but still I'm getting sporadic white spots..pixelation for a sec or two..or audio dropouts.

One theory I believe is that the Motorola DCT 6200 cable box may be an issue. I finally got Charter Cable to admit that all of their HD boxes are refurbished after I had insisted on getting an alternative NEW box.

Has anyone else had digital breakups like this from their HD cable box .....diagnosed a cause...and if so how did you fix it?
thanks so much

What channels are the worst? Are you having problems on just some channels or a group of channels? I have the same model box from Cox Cable
and had similar problems until I replaced the cable coming in from the wall. I was able to solve my problem by buying new cable from Radio Shack. (I think it's better than the cable company cable)
What is your setup? Do you have cable wired throughout your house? ie. several rooms wired for cable. If so, there is a splitter box somewhere in your house where all the cables meet. Mine is in the laundry room. Check this box to make sure all the connections are tight and the cables are sound. A bad cable from this box to the room where your TV is located will cause problems.
