Most simplified wiring via HDMI question

Setting up an Onkyo 705 with 7.1 speakers and a PS3 to my Samsung TV which supports HDMI 1.1 w/ the ability to display/accept 1080p.

I was planning to hook these three things together via two HDMI cables.

Please let me know if the following should work, as right now I am under the impression it will:

HDMI from the PS3 to the Onkyo |7.1 audio out directly from the Onkyo|
HDMI from the Onkyo to the Samsung for just video.
