Most pathetic championship series ever...

The title says it all. Not a series. More like a scrimmage for the Celtics. The Lakers should be utterly ashamed of their performance. I'm actually ashamed that I watched the first half of the game.

On the other hand...Way to go Celtics!

(Don't really care who won...my Suns were out...:( )

I've never been a big NBA fan, but am a NCAA fan. And a Kentucky fan at that. So, I was rooting for the Celtics' Rajon Rondo to do well. He had a great game last night.

Yea... and wtf happened to the Lakers?

Not much a surprise to me, the end result of this series. The Boston Celtics defense was far superior and the Lakers could not find any adjustments offensively that would work. The Celtics rebounding was so good last night too....there was no way the Lakers were winning that game, it was total domination. I am not a fan of either of these teams but I am glad it was Boston who won.

P.S - I am a Suns fan too :) ( I wish they could play defense like the Celtics :)).

Well, that game shows how many light years the Celtics are in front of the Lakers in two areas: Defense and Teamwork.

Look at the C's Bench, what another great job last night; Perkins, House, and Posey all showed up big time.

I loved seeing Kobe Bryant nail his first shot then yell to a fan in the front row "Not tonight, baby!". Then getting to watch him eat his words as his team almost lost by 40, and Kobe was defended so well he bacame an non-factor. Without Kobe scoring, the lakers are a sub 500 team. Lamar Odum (Scottie Pippen he ain't) just can't take a game on his back. If you watch the celtic's, most games where Pierce didn't come up big, Garrnett and Allen stepped it up.

Good job C's! We were the best team all year long, and we showed it when it mattered in the finals.

I disagree on a couple of points. Yep, Im a Laker fan, and baskteball is my favorite sport. College or Pro. I used to play b-ball all the damn time, year round.

Lamar actually did very well in the playoffs until the championship round.

You guys also have to remember the second best player was not playing in Andrew Bynum. (Think if Garnett was not playing).

Gasol simply does not have the physicality to handle C's big men. He was worked over already in earlier rounds. He shouldn't even be playing in the 5-spot, but alas Bynum's out.

Celtics have a nice advantage of coming from the clearly inferior eastern conference. Much easier to obtain home-court for the playoffs. Would Celtics have won without home court? Meh, a moot point now.

Im happy for all the Celtics who won their first. PJ Brown was always on my short list of favorite less-famous ball players cuz he always busts azz. I think the hardest box-outs Ive ever seen were dished by Brown years ago. Other players with his kind of ethic I think of are Majerle, Haslem, maybe AC Green.

who is going to be the most improved team next year? Will it be Portland? Or LA Lakers with the return of Bynum?
