Speaking of separates (again), I was very happy to see that Denon is offering a Blue Ray Transport ($1,199) in addition to a full Blue Ray Player ($1,999). Using any of the Denon Receivers that are capable of decoding either flavor of HD Audio negates the need for the player; and puts $800 in our pockets.
Now if Denon would only do the same for their DVD player line. Imagine the savings gained say for the DVD-5910. Put the bucks in higher quality transports and let the Denon pre pros and receivers do the heavy lifting.
How about it Clint; I’m sure you’ll see Jeff Talmadge again at CES.
