Ive narrowed my speaker selection down to the following: axiom m22s m80s and qs4 or the mordaunt short avant series 906s 902s and 903s?...I have a 18 x 13 x 10 room with the yamaha rx-v3900 receiver and im currently upgrading from the crappy bose acoustimass 16 series 2 system I bought because I knew nothing about speakers!!....Im just looking to get the opinions from people with some experience with these speakers!!...thanks in advance!!

What Craig wrote. I am very happy with my M80s, but I am not you.

Check out Axioms Hearing Things forum to see if there is someone in your area that can give you an audition.

Depends what you like better. Both are excellent brands. I prefer MS myself.

Be sure to check out the requirements to drive the speakers you've chosen to pursue. It would be a sad day to find 4-ohm rated speakers and then blow a receiver/amp that can only drive 8-ohm rated speakers with success.

Then again, most receivers can handle a 4-ohm load with success...

I've not heard either set and nothing to add except other speaker brands to check out (I like mine.). Good luck!

The M80 is a 4 Ohm speaker so there are a few recievers that won't handle the higher current draw.

I am driving mine with an inexpensive Sherwood (90wpc) receiver. The lower end Yamaha and Onkyos will have problems.
