Mordaunt Short 500 series

I move my thread to the right forum (Who originaly was the paradigm monitor series dilemma in the Receiver thread...my mistake, sorry!)

I continued my speakers shopping yesterday and my dealer made me listen to a Mordaunt Short 500 series system. I must say that I was blown away. Really really good for home cinema and pretty good for music (I will use my home theater 35-40% for music in stereo).

Compared to the the paradigms “4 minis + cc370 + ps-1000”, the price for the Mordaunt Short kit is up by 500$ (2500$ CND VS 2000$ CND) It seems a good deal for me.

What do you think about it (the Mordaunt Short 500 series and the price)

I haven't heard the 500s, but they are intended to be used with a THX processor. IMO, the 900s are very similar, using the same drivers but different crossovers, and cost less.

Here is a link to the AH 12K recommended system which uses the 900 series, and IMO, would be an excellent setup.

I've also installed a 904/905/903 setup for one customer and it sounded pretty amazing for the price.
