I have to admit the concept of this is cool.

It is cool, but unfortunately it wouldn't work too well for me. My amps draw power in standby, but if they are "unplugged", then I have to go and push the power button on the amp to get them to come back on. So, not very handy in my case.

My Belkin has switched outlets that can be controlled by the power draw of one of the units connected to it. It doesn't have a remote, though, like those Monster units.

The concept is cool for sure its the company who makes them that I have a problem with. In this case I will wait till another company builds a green power station before I go there....

Not a bad idea, but it is only good for devices that don't need power for memory for settings.

Hmm.... now my input.

So.. they invented a "Green" box that takes your "green"....
It saves power by shutting off outlets... but makes you use your remote, which kills batteries and then those poor canisters of useless acid go into the trash which go into the landfill becoming "brown".... not exactly green.....
They made a box that takes your "green" and it's MOSTER!

HAHAHA LOL.

I was expecting Moster Cables made of Hemp selling for the price of CAT 5 er.. Denon Link cables....

Quite a bit, actually. You can pick up a watt meter at Radio Shack for about $20 and hook it up to your system and see. All that equipment pulls a lot more power in standby than you think it would, it's really kinda surprising.

Nothing has changed for me on the monster issue...I will never buy any of their crap...... What happened was Kurt from BJC sent monster a letter calling them out and they promptly left him alone...... I wish there were more people out there like Kurt.
