Mono price hdmi cable

I see that on monoprice they have several different hdmi cable like thes two for example For only $11.82 each when QTY 50+ purchased - 6ft Slim Series High Speed HDMI® Cable w/ RedMere® Technology

For only $12.23 each when QTY 50+ purchased - 6ft Ultra Slim Series High Performance HDMI® Cable w/ RedMere® Technology - Black

There are several more but I'm trying to figure out what are the differences which ones are the best ones on monoprice are they just as good as my audio quest hdmi cables

The short answer is, for short runs (under ~20ft), no you will not notice the difference. So yes, you probably got ripped off buying AQ.

I use these guys for all my HDMI: Blue Jeans Cable -- Quality Cables at Reasonable Prices A bit more expensive (they do offer a low cost option too) than the cheaper monoprice ones, but I like their quality.

I haven't tried their RedMere cables, but the RedMere tech is showing up in some newer cables from other companies as well. I would say that the added flexibility that this gives the shorter length cables can be invaluable for cable management and doesn't stress the connection point into your components nearly as much which is nice, but doesn't add or take away from the video quality.

Their slimmer cables are just more 'managable' but don't add quality.

Are they as good as your Audioquest HDMI cables?

Well, if you bought those cables at a store, and pricing was typical to this:

Then no, the Monoprice cables are not as good.

They are better.

Why?

Because they leave anywhere from 30 to over 200 bucks in your pocket and deliver the exact same quality performance.

In fact, this 6' cable from Monoprice for under $8.00 will deliver the same quality for even less.
