Mono amp and bi-amp

Could anyone explain these to me please?

I really have no idea of what I am doing. I'm trying to put together a decent system for my hubby, and so far I've ordered a Denon 4810ci receiver, and Aperion speakers, (6b's, 6c, 5db's, and the 12d sub).

From what I've read, I may be short on power. I know I can add a regular amp to the Denon, but what are mono amps? Why would I chose one over the other?

And what does bi-amping mean?

thank you very much, for any assistance.

A mono amp is an amp that puts out 1 channel of sound and bi-amping is where you can use the back surround channels and run it to your front speakers as well. since you are using 5.1 setup you could take the 2 back surround channel and run them to the front speakers, as I looking the Aperion 6bs are not able to be bi amped because there would need to be 2 sets of binding posts on the back of the speaker and they do not have them. the Denon 4810ci will drive these speakers with no problems it's a 140wattsx9 which means 140 watts for each of the 9 channels. P.S. if my wife bought me this setup I would be kissing the ground she walks on.
