In-Wall speakers are getting more and more popular each day. Imagine being able to free up some floor space and have a cleaner looking room. The wife will be specially pleased. That is what the guys at Monitor Audio had in mind when they created their IWS-10 In-Wall/In-Ceiling Subwoofer Driver.
This driver employs a rigid, flat 10” surface of 10mm (3/8”) RDT® material derived from their already acclaimed ‘Platinum’ series. According to the company, their rigid Diaphragm Technology is a sandwich of C-CAM® alloy, bonded to a honeycomb Nomex core. A large vented pole helps to move air quickly, reducing power compression and heat dissipation. It also features their patented Tri-Grip clamping system which allows for an easier installation and provides three times the surface area of conventional dog-leg type clamps for better sealing. The IWS-10 is a trim-less grille design and its frame can be painted. MA states that this driver will perform best if used with the IWB-10 back box. Check out the following features and specs.
