Saw this movie over the weekend.

Thought it was kind of slow.

My wife liked it more than I did.

I would rate it a "7" out of "10".

Bump for an old thread. This finally made it to the top of my netflix queue (blu-ray version). Yeah, it was a bit slow, but I really enjoyed it. IMO, it was kind of like Braveheart, except with Ghengis Khan instead of William Wallace. Plenty of gory action for the guys, and a love story for the ladies. Everyone wins :) The scenery was breathtaking and was one of those movies where the picture really seemed to have depth. Picture quality was very good and consistant throughout. Not much for bass, but I was watching it with my mom and sister so my sub was turned down pretty low. 8.5/10 in my book.

I know I did a write up of this one somewhere...probably the "must own, lesser known" thread. I thought this was a great movie. Very good cinematography and the sound was good - there were actually a few good bass scenes (non-action bass though). Though it was nothing too unexpected from a biographical standpoint, meaning it was slow, the characters were interesting and the story was good. While slow, I wasn't ever bored. I like that the entire story is about Khan before he came to power and why, not about what he did as Khanh. Recommended.
