The Ultra Evolution is a good centre speaker, but my preference is to have 3 speakers in the front that have the same tonal characteristics. When voices move from the left to centre to right, you want the sound to remain consistent. The Opticon Vokal is designed to match your Opticon MK2 and is 25% cheaper. Both the SVS and the Dali are 3 way designs with the tweeter above the midrange, which is good. The speaker sensitivity is about the same (87dB for the SVS and 88dB for the Dali). The SVS, being a 4 speaker design, may be able to play louder than the Dali, but in your 11ft x 11ft room I think the Dali should be adequate as you will likely be relatively close to the speaker.

SVS has a free return policy in many countries. Do they offer free trials in India?

Hopefully some other forum members will add their opinion. The SVS center is fairly well regarded and we don't have measurements for the Dali Vokal, so there may be differing opinions.

Honestly, I'd go for the SVS Ultra Evolution if you can manage it. I’ve found that SVS subs really add depth and clarity to the sound, and it should mesh well with your Denon and Dali fronts. Mixing the SVS with your Dali gear shouldn't cause too many issues, just tweak the settings a bit to make sure everything blends nicely.

This svs is 3 way and dali 2 way. Twewk settings? Which setting,?

Stick with the SAME brand of speakers. Don't mix brands or you'll regret it.
What is wrong with having a better Mfg Center Channel, that is superior? I watch movies and dialog is most important. I do have great balance in my setup. PSB Image XC as CC with Klipsch bookshelf mains. Signature below.

I do have matching centers for Elac Debut, JBL Stage and Klipsch, but are non-performers to my ears. I have recently reverted back to the Klipsch as mains, due to their more dynamics, for movies. Also, I have good balance in my environment.

I have written about this before. I believe that the front three should be a cohesive design. I just don't see that happening among manufacturers. So using speakers from the same manufacturer does not guarantee that the situation will be optimal. In fact I am pretty sure it is seldom optimal.

My front three use different drivers by design. However the front stage is absolutely seamless. Not only that but the 3D perspective of the front three speakers are excellent. What is usually see among same manufacturers is a nonsensical design even if it uses the same drivers.

Getting this right is actually a very tough nut to crack.

Yes, if I could afford it too.........lol My psb Imagine XC has good CC performance at low and high volume.

I do have nice balance with my 5.1 setup and have the Klipsch mains pointed straight out into the room w 5.5 feet apart. Listening and TV viewing are 6.5 feet with main tweeters just above ear level. Perfect set-up with distinct clarity and punch, for MOVIES.

I concur just get that. Wait and save and be happy. Don't spend money now that you essentially throw away later (most speakers are worth very little used even if great, since this is such a niche market).

OR can you fit another dali opticon 2 mk2 as a center?

You do not have to use a speaker marketed as a "center channel speaker" for your center. Any speaker can function as a center. It is not uncommon to use the same 3 identical speakers across the front of a home theatre system. That way you know that the speakers are timbre matched across the fronts. People tend not to use bookshelf speakers in the center simply because they are tall and prefer a speaker that is longer along the bottom so that it does not block the TV. If you have the space, another Opticon 2 Mk2 would work fine, but not all manufacturers sell speakers as singles (only in pairs).

Long story short, my center channel was PSB Imagine XC for some time. Early this week, I decided to go back to Elac's matching center channel. I believe the front stage sounds better and dialog is clear. Being tricked again? Anyway, the change back, will stay.
