Mixer to PC problems

Hello there, not sure if im in the right place to ask this but i got a feeling you might be able to help me out.

So im in the middle of an upgrade to my computer system, one of these upgrades is a sound mixer so that I have control over mic and multiple audio feeds. To acomplish this I have found myself a small scale 6 channel mixer with a pre fade Aux feed (Studiomaster C2S-2). I have this set up with a mic in one mono channel and a DI box in the other, only these channels are sent to Aux and not to main. I also have a little audio interface (Behringer UCA202) simple little box with RCA in and out. I have the Aux going into this interface with a 1/4 jack to mono phono cable but I get a horrendous interference noise. Im not sure where this might be coming from, it seems to be coming from the Aux channel there is nothing wrong with the main bus, when I put headphones into the Aux I can slightly hear it. I also tried to use a mini jack cable with 1/4 adapters into the di box and a XLR to mini jack going into the computer but this didnt help. Im not 100% on balancing of signals, not sure if that XLR to minijack just unbalanced it again? would I need XLR to phono wired properly?

Sorry if this is hard to follow its been a while since I worked with audio

Hard to know without being there. I don't like the look of the input circuits. For a balanced mic, the impedance is far too high. Balanced phantom mic are designed for 200 Ohm impedance.

If you are setting up a home stdio, then you need gear that is quite of few grades above what you bought. Setting up that sort of set up on the cheap, always ends in grief.

Could be ground loop. I’ve used a uca202 before and I’d recommend you to upgrade to audio interface with balanced outs , like motu-m2
